sneeze

So I've been sick with the flu or whatever you want to call it since Tuesday...it has not been the highlight of my semester. I have had some time to develop what crafts I will be doing for the Cool-Aid craft fair, read up on some news, and not work on my thesis (ok, I did). I am currently in Arlington, and unfortunately decided to eat Italian Store pizza for lunch...not a food for every ailment. or any ailment for that matter.

I read about how a judge exonerated Timothy Cole from committing rape, for which he had served 13 years before dying of asthmatic complications. someone else even tried to confess to the crime but the judge ignored him! our justice system needs a serious facelift, and maybe that is coming with all the budget cuts occurring. They are having to think about removing people who have committed light crimes, or reducing terms because prisons take up so much federal tax money. So maybe it will go in the right direction - by reducing sentences for people convicted of drug possession and the like. Or perhaps by instituting restorative justice principles...wishful thinking. That only happens in New Zealand!!

Speaking of...someone built this tyte hobbit house for under $10,000. So frugal! Also built with the "maximum regard for the environment."
